Any suggestions on what to use to remove those marks without ruining the finish? See pic. ([attachment=237865:P1010914.JPG]Marks on right near 'F' hole & underneath the bridge.) [/quote] I'll probably get told off by the people who know the proper method for this but I'd maybe just get a tiny bit of solvent cleaner onto a bit of kitchen roll, the slightest bit shouldn't damaged the finish... dyerseve Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 a damp microfibre cloth should work fine with no risk of damage. perhaps a drop of fairy liquid could be added if no joy at first. might require a bit of rubbing but will get there in the end... Ghost_Bass Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 If it were my bass i would use a bit of cloth damped with alcohol. The finish looks like laquer so it wont stain the bass. Other products like naphta (lighter fluid), wd-40 will work fine. Even soap and water will do it but it will be faster with some kind of solvent to help.
