Al Jarreau R.I.P

Retired because of ill health a couple of weeks back. Unfortunately, passed away this morning.
Very sad. Certainly one of my favourite singers/musicians.
Always worked with the very, very best.

Wow--great stuff. I heard his 'We Got By,' the first album, back in 1974. It's still in print. Almost, or all, written by him. What a great singer, writer, performer--sad to see him go.

Damn. I used to listen to his stuff a lot in my "Blues and Soul" ear in the late 1980s. Across the Midnight Sky is an awesome track. Incredible voice and a good writer. He kind of slipped under my radar in recent times, but this makes me sad. RIP
