Dubious Stingray listing on fleabay

Lovely creative listing for a Sterling Sub here - gives the impression its a USA

Totally avoided showing any logo's in the pictures and only really identifiable if you knew what the back of a USA Ray headstock and the bridge looks like

Quite a poor attempt, I would hope all Stingray buyers would realise this is a no-no.

It does have the words "Made in Indonesia" pretty easily read in the third picture.

That's only relevant if the potential purchaser knows where Stingrays are made (or not in this case)

It just seems like they've purposely avoided showing the obvious things - like the logo on the front of the headstock - hoping someone will make assumptions

Oh, and they've called it a a Music Man Stingray (which it isnt).......

I messaged him asking for a photo or info on the otherside of the head stock..he has just got back to me with "after further investigation it is a music man bass but it's a sub ray 4 sterling the guy i spoke to got it wrong. So I've relisted it as that sorry for any confusion"

The new one is still a very vague ad for someone who has nearly 1300 past listings on ebay (including a load of bass stuff in so he obviously knows a bit about them) - but hey, what do i care.....
And he's still got the original listing up as well ;-)

But this is starting to sound like a vendetta from me and it really isnt so i'm outta here now

Further investigation?? Nowhere does it say Musicman on that bass. Devious, although I don't really understand his new technique to try and get it sold. Bass Guitar?

I agree it's somewhat obfuscating the facts, but if the potential purchaser doesn't know where Stingrays are made then said potential purchaser wouldn't think it was a USA bass.
