EdwardHimself
you certainly are! All very nice basses. I always wanted a jackson but i've just been put off by the lack of any 5 string models.
BassJase
If you scour ebay for long enough an old 5-string may turn up. The concert CMG was available as a 5-string (Dave Ellefson used to play one) but they're rare as rocking horse poop. And if you do ever buy a Jackson, get a pre-1999 model, before Fender bought them and turned them into absolute plop.

BassJase
HA! How bazaar! Just as soon as you put that, there's one for sale on here. Looks nice too.....and a VERY reasonable price. (My Concert CMG Custom cost me £699, and this 5-string is up for £350!) Rayman
Those Trabens are wicked, I've never seen one in the flesh, but I love those bridges. They did one with a large sun shape for the bridge, it looked fantastic.

When you bang the strings through the body, the sustain is Spinal-Tap worthy. And if they're good enough for Bootsy and Dirk Lance, they're good enough for my sh*tty playing! cetera
Lovely 'Futura'..... is that a bolt on or through-neck?
BassJase
The Futura is a bolt-on, and of all the basses i've had/will have, this is the one i'll always keep. When there's another bash i'll bring it along so you can see for yourself, the necks like a ruler and it really plays itself. It don't look nuthin' special, its passive with only a volume/tone/pickup control, but it sounds like a brontosaurus clearing its throat. EdwardHimself
^ WHO NEEDS A BASS EH?
BigRedX
I have a Traben Phoenix 5-string. Massive sound - In fact the only bass I've tried so far that can compete with my Gus G3 5 string in terms of fullness of sound and output so it make a great back-up for it. There's a few of the Sun bridge Trabens knocking about on Ebay including a 5 sting for about £130 (plus of course shipping and customs...)
