franzbassist
Love this bass, is there a wee carve on the top or is flat? The body has a subtle curve, if that's what you mean? Edited January 30, 2018 by walbassist

franzbassist
Bass is in transit, but Xaver has just posted another picture on his Facebook page that I'll use to keep me going until it arrives The pale strips in the neck are walnut, which goes to show how dark the thermo ash used for the rest of it is. franzbassist
So, the bass arrived yesterday lunchtime and I have to say it is every but as good as I hoped it would be. First impressions: Fit and finish is perfect. The attention to detail Xaver puts into his basses is just amazing. At 9lbs 6.5oz it's not as light as the Sirius fretless I have (8lbs 4.5oz), but perfectly manageable. Very resonant. Sustain across the board is terrific. No hint of a dead spot anywhere. Smells lovely. Not had a chance to plug it in yet, but will do so tonight. A quick snap of the chestnut top below, but I will try and take some better pictures over the weekend if we get some good sun.
