Bassulike66
I'll keep this short as poss.... ABM 500 H (Approx 19 Years old) Transformer cooked...is there anything pre or post transformer that could lead to this particular type of failure??? All fuses good. Nothing obvious on pcbs looks cooked or blown. Any advice appreciated, didn't want to replace trans if there was anything else that would cause the same issue on a new one. Bassman Rich
It was a while ago when I needed help, but Ashdown themselves are really good and helpful, might be worth giving them a ring??
Subthumper
A few of their amps were prone to cooking the transformer. They should be able to sell you a replacement. Fitting it is a very straightforward job foe a tech or if you can solder yourself. Most of the replacements I've fitted were bigger than the original. Ashdown have always had good customer service in my experience.
LewisK1975
+1 - they repaired my ABM1000 for free, all I paid was the cost of postage to get it to them..
