Tried it several times yesterday to make sure but not issues at all. This particular bass is wearing relatively lightweight D'Addario nickels in 45/60/80/105 flavours as opposed to the headless Border Reiver, also 32" scale. that has the D'Addario EXL160BT set on. Guages for the 160BTs are 50/67/90/120. Looking at the bass is think black tapewounds might look pretty cool too! Edited March 24, 2019 by ead 2 Quote

I have them on medium scale Jazz which is in a similar vein to yours. Quote

AndyTravis Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Anyone want some brand new roto half wounds (which weirdly feel smoother than their flatwounds)? Quote
ead Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 (edited) Strings wise I have settle on relatively lightweight D'Addario nickels in 45/60/80/105 (bought as singles to get the tension I like) on the headless Border Reiver. Having tried D'Addario EXL160BTs (50/67/90/120) I found them to be a bit too heavy for me so the Finn P is now wearing black D'Addario ETB92M tapewounds (50/65/85/105). These are a standard issue medium scale set and work rather well. At some point I might well try a set of my normal use long scale D'Addario EXL170BTs as I reakon long scale strings on a 32" scale bass will work just fine. @AndyTravis you are welcome to come round to try them out as we are pretty close to each other, or I'll bring them down to you if you promise to make me a cup of tea Edited June 2, 2019 by ead 1 1 Quote

So after a bit of research i bought this off ebay I cannot put it down. Its passive with 2 x vols and a tone 4 Quote
