Pedal order, what's your preference?

I am not a big pedal fan. For my electric guitar I use a tube screamer into cry baby wah.

Bass is mostly nil pedals but planning to start using them. I've got a di hartke pedal and TC electronic spectracomp and I would plug bass into di then spectracomp then amp. This is what I see a logical order. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I was to add cry baby wah what would be a good order...or is there such thing as good order...horses for courses..

Whatever sounds good to you. However, as with a guitar, the general "rule of thumb" is OD/Dist/Fuzz, Mod, Delay, Wahworks for bass too.

With two pedals? Just try them both ways. It would have taken less time than writing the post to ask! ;-)

I have loads loads of folks have compression as the first pedal in the signal path. I presume it's to balance out the signal before it hits any modulation, but I agree with the other comment here, try it both ways
