Guest Jecklin
This is a long burn project rather than something I'm about to do imminently. Has anyone on BC put a status graphite musicman neck on a ray34? I am assuming all the critical dimensions are the same between a full fat EBMM stingray and a sterling ray34, but quoting the baddie in Under seige 2 assumption is the mother of all #%&k ups. Love to hear about any real world direct expereince. Cheers Thomas Edited February 24, 2017 by Jecklin
Jimryan
Hi Tom, Not done it on a Ray34 but I fitted one to a sterling ray S.U.B a year or so ago and all was fine. Perfect fit and had no problems whatsoever. Only thing that annoyed me was the gap in the scratchplate where the truss wheel used to be. Cheers, James

Cheers, James [/quote] I was thinking of your sparkle bass James I assumed it was a Ray34, not a SUB. So they have basically exactly the same dimensions as a full blown ray. I am going for a lined fretless neck, but cash is tight at the moment, so for the time being I'm having the existing neck defretted. Jimryan
I'd assume so as the fit was perfect. Yeah, they can be pricey. Mine ended up around £410 as I wanted a blue tint. Luckily a status neck won't fit on my 5 string project so I've saved some cash there.
Wayne Firefly
I read somewhere that the 34 and a Stingray have the same neck pocket dimensions so should be fine.
