It's already gone though so guess their price wasn't too unreasonable either... Edited February 25, 2017 by dyerseve
mojobass
Must be some mega overheads/wages at £600 markup for 2 days!

mojobass
I was led to believe I was selling to a private buyer! However he transpired to work for bass direct!
warwickhunt
So would this Status Streamline be the same one that sold on here for £1000? http://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Status_Streamline_4.html

[/quote] Yeah because they have a crystal ball that tells them thats how its going to happen! It could have been two weeks, two months or two years before that bass sold. In that time they have cash tied up in that instrument and overheads to cover. If you sold it to them the presumably you got what you wanted for it. Not sure what your problem is with a business making a profit...
mojobass
I've no problem with making a profit, what I have a problem with is a business posing as a private buyer to 'acquire' stock! If I'd known it was them I would not have sold it to them!
dyerseve
What difference does it make? You either want to sell your bass or you dont. Their money is as good as everyone else's. If you werent happy with the amount offered then you could turn it down. They are under no obligation to identify who they are when buying your bass. mojobass
just leaves a bad taste! A few guys on here will know me and know that I've sold plenty of basses and always at a fair price which reflects the condition of those basses. To revert to previous comments, if the bass was pristine I would have asked for more but as it wasn't I priced it fairly!! fiatcoupe432
I don t think makes a difference to you sell . If i sell my instrument for £1000 and the buyer then decides to sell it for £1500 is up to them . I wouldn't t buy it but for some people the same instrument might be worth much more . Lots of people are not members here so they rather buy a bass on ebay or online shops.

They paid quickly and we had great communication throughout the transaction. I got what I am asking for and they got theirs. Whatever they want to do after the transaction is entirely up to them. I have no issues with it.

The moral of the story is... if you see a bass for sale on BC you fancy, best snap it up before it costs you 50% more from someone else!
