Let's hear all your own Basschat Rig Rundowns.

Mine's probably the shortest rig list thus far.

Band rig:
Bass: Ibanez SR1000e

Pedals: Korg Pitchblack Poly, PSK SDS3 & Boss CE-2

Rig: Radiovox Valve amp > EBS CL410

Church rig:
Ibanez SR1000e

Pedals: Korg Pitchblack Poly

Rig: Apple earbuds.

To think, a couple of years back that list was much different.

Some nice stuff on here; I'll do what I can to lower the tone...

Bitsa Jazz basses (Fretted is drop tuned D, G, C, F with Rotosound RS55s, Fretless is tuned to concert with Roto 66 Swingbass)

Pedals - Tuner, Aphex Compressor, OC2 (clone), Earthquaker Devices Tentacle (clone), B3K (clone) Coloursound Bass Fuzz (clone), Chunk Systems Agent 00Funk (clone), EHX Small Stone (clone), EHX Small Clone (clone).

Yeah, I make a LOT of pedals!

Amp - Amp SVP PRO preamp into Laney SP300 power amp

Cab - Barefaced Gen 1 Compact.

To much gear to mention. However, right now I'm bar gigging with my Line 6 wireless relay, G&L ASAT bass, GK 1000rb , head through a GK RBX 2 10 cab. The high end pre-amp boost in the ASAT will cut through anything.

Dedicated Pedals, I'm using a little reverb, chorus and phase.

Wal it Yammy FX7700 used as pre-amp and tuner, into ch.1 of DBX compressor, into 1990 Marshall Jubilee amp.
FX loop goes into Bass Whammy, Darkglass tube distortion, 3 Leaf envelope follower and back into ch.2 of compressor. and then amp.
Amp outputs into Markbass 2x10 and Precision Devices 15" in ancient Yamaha cab.
Sounds pretty big and perhaps a touch weird!

mmmm k, here yea go:

Basses: Fender flea Jazz or Fender Precision Hotrod depending on the mood (ikle clip on tuner for quick ref tuning)

Leads: Inherited over many years (aaahhem)

Effects: Zoom B3 (where the sound lives) - Set up with a good old fashioned big end tone

Head: TC BH800 (BH250 as running spare) - I run this flat with Spectracomp/tubetone on TP1 and a subtle octaver on TP2

Cabs: RS210 & Rs212

If push comes to shove I can DI out of the B3 and still have my 'sound', whatever that may be that week.

It looks like this:

My current rig:

Musicman Bongo 4HS or
Yamaha Attitude Ltd 2
Both strung with D'Addario pro steels
Into a pedaltrain mini which houses:
Korg Pitchblack tuner
Ashdown James Lomenzo Hyperdrive
EBS Billy Sheehan signature drive (purple)
Arachnid Audio channel switching pedal
Rig:
GK MB Fusion 500
Barefaced Big Twin 2

I find the Bongo sounds better through the Ashdown pedal and the Yamaha better through the EBS. If it's a gig I'm likely to use both basses on, I set up the 2 channels of the Fusion as one for each bass. So if I switch basses, I just switch which drive pedal is on and switch amp channel. If I'm only likely to use the one bass I'll set the 2 channels up so that one is a boost channel.

Fender MiM Precision Bass Deluxe Special - strung with Rotosound Swing Bass 66
Backed up by a Squier VM Jazz Bass - same strings.

Into a Boss ODB-3 > Boss TU-3>

Ashdown Mag 300 EVO ii head into either an Ashdown 115 or a TC Electronic BC410.

Not the most exciting, but it works and sounds good.

Very, very simple setup for me:

Fender HotRod Precision from about 1999 or std. 96 Precision both with Rotosound Monel flats. Both left handed.
OBBM cables
Korg Pitchblack Tuner, Samsamp VT bass just for emergencies so I can play through the PA if necessary.
Little Mark 3
Barefaced Gen 2 Compact.

Thats all, folks

Great thread, enjoying reading them all.
What has surprised me though is how many BC ers use pedals, especially overdrives to get their sound.
I've always stuck to just a lead between bass and amp, only using my Sansamp set flat for DI purposes.
Maybe I need to start investigating some stomp boxes.

For me it's:

95% of the time - Bass (probably ACG) > Smooth Hound wireless > Radial ProDI passive box > PA (bass through stage monitors)

5% of the time - Bass (probably ACG) > Smooth Hound wireless > Genz Benz Streamliner > Barefaced Midget/Compact stack (both Gen 2)

Sometimes with a mini pedal board containing Korg Pitchblack; Boss CEB-3 and ODB-3

Mine's fairly straightforward, too (apart from the basses):

Dunlop .88 picks
Any two of four basses (two Shuker Horns, Dingwall ABZ4, Shukerbird), all have East U-Retros
OBBM Cable
Mesa Walkabout or Genzler Magellan
OBBM Cable
BF Super Twin

Plus a 'just in case' Behringer BDI21 in the gigbag...oh, and a clip-on tuner :)

2006 Fender Mustang - StageClix Jack - SansAmp Bass Driver DI - EBS Reidmar 250 - Barefaced Bass Retro 210.

At Saturday's gig I set up off-stage while the drummer was setting up his kit and then carried the whole thing on in a one-er. :)

I'm settling in with new bands so this is what I was using with the recently-deceased rock covers band:

Sei Original fretless 5 or Sei Flamboyant 5 fretted

Homemade jack to mini-XLR cable

Line 6 G50 wireless

Homemade Neutrik/Van Damme cable

Zoom B3

Neutrik-ended cable with two DC power extensions sheathed with it to power B3 & G50 (using original power supplies)

Tecamp Puma 900

Speaker cable with Neutrik speakon plugs

First Bergantino AE112

Warwick Rockbass speaker cable with speakon plugs

Second Bergantino AE112

Mine (from last night's gig). Although the monitors were so loud that the amp was basically redundant. The sound guy ran the stage volume like we had a drum kit. Which we don't.

[attachment=239293:IMG_0563.jpg]

Basses:
1990 EB Musicman Stingray
2016 USA Fender Jazz Fretless

Pedals: Too complicated and cramped and last night I paid the price.
Boss ABY box. One input for each bass >
Boss TU3 (about to be retired for space reasons and replaced with a PolyTune Clip) >
Boss BCX1 Compressor >
Boss LS2 Line Switcher - for one touch switching between distortion and either phase or delay and for balancing bass volume

Pike Vulcan - Loop A
MXR Phase 90 - Loop B
TC Flashback Delay (Loop B here, although that was a bad move, see above. Now on the naughty step)

Hartke LH500
2 x Hartke 210 XL

G&L asat, polytune, bass soul food, mxr octave, source audio manta, markbass tube 500, Aggie db112s. In tweed. Makes a big difference to how they sound. Oo, and suitable top notch cables, obbm speaker leads, planet waves and those solderless jobs on the board. They really do make a difference!
