Torbass Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) Hi I'm selling my Lightwave Sabre VL5 bass. Just bought it, but then my "beloved" Citroen decided it needed lots of tlc. So something has to go. It should be the citroen, but the wife refuses to walk.... The bass is near mint, and it's very easy to play. It's very responsive and reacts well to changes in the right hand position. The B-string is nice and tight, just the way we like it. Check out Ed Friedland's review on youtube. It says most of what there is to say about the bass. Comes with Fender case and charger. No problem mailing it. Would be around €50 in shipping https://www.youtube....9MdU2diQ&t=130s Edited March 27, 2017 by Torbass
BigJim Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Tor is a friend of mine and I can vouch for him! And his taste in basses, not cars ;-)

loweringthetone Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Tempting. What is the weight please ? Im guessing its quite light...
Torbass Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Hi Will take it on the scale when I get home. Of the 80 something basses I've had, this is the lightest. -Tor
Torbass Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 According to my €10 luggage scale, the Lightwave is 3,7kg. Just as a reference I weighted my Alembic Europa to 5,3kg and my standard Warmoth jazz 4,3kg
Torbass Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Weekend bump! Reduced til 900 of the queens shiny coins. Edited March 29, 2017 by Torbass
adamg67 Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 I'm guessing that this isn't in the UK? So no way for me to try it before buying?
Torbass Posted April 2, 2017 Author Posted April 2, 2017 The bass spends it's days locked up in a cellar in Norway. So unless you are in Oslo for something, it's buy before you try. You'll just have to trust the mighty Friedland To be serious, I wouldn't sell the bass unless I had to.
Torbass Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 The taxman called, with very bad news! 850 pounds will take this away.
Torbass Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 Hi Not of this exact bass. The best video is this by Ed Friedland.https://www.youtube....9MdU2diQ&t=130s I can try make a video of mine, but since I don't have any camera besides my cellphone, I'm afraid it wouldn't be any good.
