Lazurus
As it says I need a simple free Ipad app for Bass clef notation if anyone has any recommendations Cheers Stuart
lowdown
There is a list here. http://appcrawlr.com/ios-apps/best-apps-music-notation Although not free, I went with 'Notion', Been using Notion for iPad Air for over a year now. By far the best I have tried. It can be simple or in depth, depending on your use. No crashes, easy to use and very established with regular updates. About a tenner I think and a Tenner well spent. (no adds and no junk). For about a fiver extra, you can update for finger and stylus input. That works great!! http://www.presonus.com/products/Notion-for-iOS Plenty of videos to get you going as well. http://www.presonus.com/products/Notion-for-iOS/media
bassist_lewis
Another vote for Notion. I tried a few of the free ones, they look crappy, are difficult to use and crash often. Notion is reliable and the learning curve isn't too steep.
Lazurus
Notion it will be then. Thanks for the recommendations.
JPJ
I went to the app store to look at Notion but Progression seemed to be more applicable for what I needed. Avoid this app, its buggy, the registration tool for the 'free' ebass option doesn't function, you will receive an error message from your iPad saying the developer needs to update the app or it may slow down your iPad (a sign of an abandoned app) and Presonus' technical support is a joke. I emailed them about the problem, the emailed back with links to a support ticket with "updated information" on their support site. Click on the link, and you are required to register. Registration completed, and guess what, no open support tickets nor anyway of finding the ticket they say they have created. At that point I gave up and processed a cancelation via iTunes. [/quote] Support over at Presonus is usually quick and very good. I suppose these things happen though. Regarding the support ticket. It is always placed in your account page. JPJ
That was the issue, I could get to the support page, but no open tickets. I guess this is because I requested support via email before registering on my.presonus.com Mind having said that, the other comments about the app still stand
