Dood Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 I think some of my least favourite headstocks are the ones where the designers were trying to make them look like the Fender outline, but slightly changed it a bit. Not quite enough to look like the idea was ever any more than a sketch before it went to production. Quote

Rich Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Utterly, utterly dreadful. I don't care how great the rest of the bass might be... this is a carbuncle. Quote

I think Gibson only made about 150. Quote
Low End Bee Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I know they look and play great and all....but you can kayak with the neck. Looks better in the photo than reality too Quote
MoonBassAlpha Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) That looks like one of the blanks for a d.i.y. neck. It's a very half arsed bit of design. Edited March 3, 2017 by MoonBassAlpha Quote

I tried inlaying with resin bonded "gold" metallic dust once. Never again. Quote

Low End Bee Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Now I've got a bass from this lot myself and it's really good. But I have to say these gumby looking things on the end of the necks aren't pretty. Especially as a 5er Quote
