discreet Posted March 4, 2017 Share Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) [b]*SOLD* HIPSHOT KickAss™ Bass Bridge[/b] Fantastic bridge this, a fine modern take on the Leo Quan BadAss bridge and the only one of many I've had in decades that actually made any difference to my tone. Very happy with the usual Hipshot quality and the fact it's a straight swap for a standard 5-hole Fender P or J fitting. Comes complete with brass inserts, but steel ones are an option from Bass Direct for around a fiver. Adjusts in the usual ways for height and intonation, but there is also an appreciable amount of string spacing adjustment to be had too, by moving the saddle inserts laterally and locking them with a grub screw. Nice, solid engineering and satisfyingly chunky. Bought brand new very recently, done just one gig with it so great condition (see pics). Thing is, my OCD is such that it won't allow a non-standard part on my P Bass, even though it's a Fender Road Worn from 2011 and therefore not exactly vintage or anything. But there it is. And the KickAss is of a size that I can't even get a bridge cover over it to hide it. So it has to go and I have refitted my lovely original threaded-saddle bridge.
