Rocker Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 My Aria bass has standard sized strap buttons fitted. A heavy strap is held on, barely, by Fender rubber retainers, so I need one large strap button (chrome). Anyone know of a supplier? Thanks Quote
fretmeister Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Or use a fender headstock string retainer. That's what PRS use. Quote

spyder Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I have a set of two very large strap buttons. Will dig them out tomorrow morning and photograph them. Quote
markstuk Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 DiMarzio click strap fan here.. fitted to all my basses Quote
MuddBass Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 These are also worth a look too http://www.jhs.co.uk/brands/diago/diago-twistlocks-straplocks-gold Quote
Jono Bolton Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I used these on an old bass, no chance of the strap coming off once the rubber washer was on: http://www.axesrus.co.uk/Jumbo-Vintage-Style-Strap-Pins-p/he013.htm Depends on the style of bass, they suited my O Bass both might not look right on other styles. yorks5stringer Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Just a quick on-topic mention of strap locks, have some on my jazzbass and I thought they seemed a bit loose yesterday. Gave them a wiggle and the pegs into the bass itself were both loose, so had to tighten the screws.... No point in having the peg pull out of the Bass and it end on the floor. Check your screws! spyder Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I have these... [attachment=239914:DSCF1955.JPG] [attachment=239915:DSCF1956.JPG] [attachment=239916:DSCF1957.JPG] Pop over a PM if you are interested. Quote
Geek99 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 if you need it really big, could you use a headstock string retainer. ? same screw should fit through Quote
Naetharu Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Much easier to go with locks I would think. You can get top quality ones for well under £20.00 and they'll keep you safe and happy for a long time. Quote
