Not a DB but...

Just tried a Laka ukulele bass. Fret less. I tell ya ...put it through a good amp and blindfold you would struggle to tell the difference between that a DB. Course you can't bow or slap and looks like nothing but I was really impressed with the sound. And at around 250 quid new.

I tried one of those out in my local music shop and I was impressed with the sound and general build quality. The electronics are decent (Fishman) as well. I just like the idea of having a tiny bass instrument that I can play on holiday/in the car/on the sofa etc. I also reckon it'll be a good backup at DB gigs.

That thing looks absolutely tiny! I have a Harley Benton jobbie (well two actually, fretted & fretless) and they must each be twice the size of that.
