michele Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Always had a soft spot for the Smith vintage body style. Always had a fascination for well aged pieces of wood, full of mojo. And this came in... '87 Ken Smith BT6. This thing vibrate and resonate like nothing else I've played before. It has been played a lot and I totally see the reason. Lot of the lacquer finish has gone (especially in the neck), it's full of dings and dongs but feels and sound like quality. Talk about mojo.. Yesterday I spent the first two hours just playing long notes all across the fretboard just for the mere pleasure of hearing this baby voice. Amazing. If I'll ever decide to part with this bass, then it'll be time for me to see a doctor. [/quote] I was very surprised at how light this bass is. Don't have a scale handy but I'd say it's in the 9.5 lbs region. Must be because of the lack of the usual exotic wood laminations. Good solid tiger maple body wings! Quote

michele Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 Hey Giazonne! I've solved those back problems (incredible: that was a posture problem aggravated by...right hand plucking technique!) so you know I had to satisfy my itch for a BT6!!!
