Fender starcaster neck pocket

Hi All
I am thinking about making a bitso bass using a starcaster body but im not sure whether a regular jazz neck would fit the neck pocket. Does anyone have expereince with the starcaster's neck pocket?

That would be really interesting to do. However won't there be a problem of the Starcaster body being designed for a short scale neck and a jazz neck being long scale? The bridge position need to be different and don't the Fender bodies come drilled for a bridge?

That is a point, maybe I'll leave that idea to the imagination then.
