Dubs
I've enjoyed almost 7 years out of my TB500 then a couple of weeks ago it cut out during a song towards the end of a gig. After 2 mins it came back to life and was able to make it through the last 3 songs with no issues. 1 week later it cut out 4 songs into the set and wouldn't come back on, so I had to play the next 2 hours through the PA... With a busy schedule of paying gigs I've bought a replacement, but is the TB500 a write-off? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm not sure I'll trust it again for a gig but it'd be nice to get it working again for home practice etc. Cheers.
LewisK1975
i think the only real advice here is to get it to an amp tech? Intermittent faults are a bugger, but if it's now dead, it should be easier to diagnose...
Raggy
I've had the same issues with my TB1000, but this was using the DI going through one particular venues PA, first time was at an outdoor festival, I put this down to maybe the generators powering the PA, but then had the same problem inside the venue a few weeks back, same PA system. Not had a problem anywhere else. It puts that little bit of doubt in your mind though, shame because the core tone is perfect.
Lozz196
Contact Orange directly, they should be able to advise, sounds like some sort of thermal cut-out to me.
