TheGreek Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Some photos of the one in least good condition - as you can see it's pretty good. Anybody who's interested will probably need to come and try before they buy. http://s1167.photobucket.com/user/FairfaxAikman/slideshow/Trace%20Elliot%20GP7
TheGreek Posted April 5, 2017 Author Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) Everybody should have at least one piece of Trace Elliot gear - you're missing out if you don't. Count down to the arrival of my new Trace Elf... Edited April 7, 2017 by TheGreek
tom1946 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I have one that lives in our church, I use it every week and it feels like it has unlimited power. It's so meaty and sounds really amazing. I won't ever sell mine. GLWTS.
TheGreek Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 Is that the one I sold you a few years ago?
TheGreek Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Hey Andy How's the Rumour??? Loving the Jaydee... What's incoming? Edited May 8, 2017 by TheGreek
three Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Just a short message of support - my super-heavy Hellborg rig is in for servicing so I went out and bought an old TE 250 head. I've had loads over the years - heavy? Yes, but forget all that when you listen. Absolutely astounding. Nothing like as refined as my main rig, obviously, but power almost without limit and that super-distinctive Trace core tone. Love it. As discussed with the seller - what is it, a 30 second load in/out at most venues - and I use a truck? Well worthwhile in almost all cases. I have class D amps (of the highest order - AER) but there's something that they can't emulate re: class A/B to my ears. These old TE combos are bullet proof and what a price!
TheGreek Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Thanks Three....somebody else who's seen the light...love that TE tone..buy any Class D amp you want but there is no substitute for that real Class A/B tone. One has sold so now selling the other. On castors and with a genuine TE cover, serviced by Mal at the Stevenage Amp service just before Xmas, been in the hallway since. Let me know if you're interested.
sammybee Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Silly question - but how much does this beast weigh?
TheGreek Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Info on the net suggests about 30kg - but when your mate's carrying it you can hardly feel it....
Deedee Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Genuinely, the 1x15 combos are manageable. You would have that warm fuzzy feeling when carrying it, safe in the knowledge that it's considerably lighter than the 2 x 10 version. Seriously though, some £14 castors from Screwfix and you're sorted 👍
Number6 Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Played through one of these last night at our gig.....fantastic bit of kit type bump
tom1946 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017
Is that the one I sold you a few years ago?
Late reply, sorry mate. Yes! took it to church and it's never moved. I really rate it because it's so dependable. (Wondered where I got it from)
TheGreek Posted June 5, 2017 Author Posted June 5, 2017 Just acquired some TE cabs in a trade so this really is surplus to needs now. I just looked at the price - £175 seems bloody cheap - I might buy it myself.
bigsmokebass Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Someone get a [s]bargain[/s] STEAL, nothing wrong with having more than one amp if they all perform well (and you can never go wrong with a backup amp!) Buy with confidence! Bump!
