My first bass was a Thunder 1A - much better than many of it's contemporaries (Fenders included). This is being recognised and reflected in the resale price. £300 is a good price - don't bid...I might get a bargain (now need to convince myself not to!!)

I have the same bass with the twin soap bar pick ups, would I part with it for £300.00.......not a chance!
