Ghost_Bass
I've read the tab in diagonal and not read all posts in this thread but i noticed that on the tab Jaco doesn't go lower than G (3rd fret) on the E string so, if your fretboard is missing a hole tone, to get the note you need you could tune your bass a full step up to F# - B - E - A. Steve Woodcock
Dude, you solved the mystery. Thank you very much, now I have a very good reason to work on artificial harmonics. Thank you very much for your time and dedication ;-) Cheers Eric
My pleasure
ericlemes
I've read the tab in diagonal and not read all posts in this thread but i noticed that on the tab Jaco doesn't go lower than G (3rd fret) on the E string so, if your fretboard is missing a hole tone, to get the note you need you could tune your bass a full step up to F# - B - E - A. So, technically the truss rod needed to be adjusted to make it playable and then I'll have a bass for 1 tune. Not saying the tune isn't good enough, but the trade-off is not great...
