Guest Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 I was going to ask why the Reverse P has come and gone from the BB, but then thought it perhaps needed it's own thread.... Reverse P - when good? when not? Quote
Al Krow Posted February 21, 2021 Author Posted February 21, 2021 (edited) Anyone got a BB 604, BB434 (or possibly a BB734 or old BB 1000) gathering dust in a broom cupboard? If so... AndyTravis Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 I know the BB’s are the thing here. I keep want an SB though too. Great shape, sort of the midway between the SBV samurai basses and the BB’s...I think chronologically as well as in appearance. Quote

Guest Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 How much lighter than the stock tuners on my 424 would ultralites be? And how straightforward a swap would they (not) be? Quote

Muzz Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 (edited) I'm toying with replacing the tuners on my 414 with Ultralites - when I've done it in the past it's always been a good thing; the actual weight reduction isn't much on paper, but because the weight's out at the end of the neck, I've always noticed how much lighter the bass feels. There'll be an extra hole to drill, and there'll be a couple of empty holes, but I've never minded that...an easy job. I should add my 414 is my only bass without Ultralites...
