bassbiscuits
My trusty pair of BB604 basses. Gave them a wipe down after a particularly sweaty gig last night, and thought they looked lovely in the autumn sunshine on my settee. Not traditional BB shapes, but BB basses nonetheless.
RobD
The 604 (Natural finish) was my first bass, I still have it, although I've refinished it a couple of times, everything else is stock. It's a great bass, especially for the price.

There was a debate as to whether it was actually black or just the red looking black under certain stage lights. Hook himself answered clearing the matter up, but I can't remember whats his answer was now. Not a lot of of help eh? 😁 He said it was black...

AndyTravis
https://www.facebook.com/share/19NaesBhyt/?mibextid=79PoIi in an ideal world - I’d have this. but… someone is surely after one
Maude
It appears the BB734, and presumably 735, is available in the classic BB red and green. I still love the coffee burst (genuinely better in the flesh than most promo pics) but that green is rather tasty.
BassApprentice
The lack of colours was the only excuse I had for not seriously contemplating buying one. Now, well yeah - that green is nice. Although knowing Yamaha, you'll only get the 5er in the red and some other colour that isn't available for the 734. I absolutely love the metallic orange but I think it's only available on the 414.

It's great to see some more colours added to the 700 series, classic red and green... if I was being picky , I wish they had matching headstock and back of the neck...

Ah it’s going back tomorrow as truss rod doesn’t work and the passive circuit cut out at rehearsal for a few mins - so yesterday found a new BBP34 on Black Friday sale which arrives Tuesday - apart from the faults the 734a was good - loved the neck and clear tones

Which colour have you gone for? If a creams one came up at the right price I'd struggle not to buy it. As an aside, I've read that the pickups in the the 734 are the same ones that are in the P34. Does anyone know if this is true?

I used the 734a in passive mostly - I love a sunburst which I’ve gone for but the cream and the midnight blue are nice too- wish they did a natural finish though really looking forward to this one - got some gigs coming up Edited Sunday at 16:37 by Duroc17

I've already got a 374a in (IMO gorgeous) dark coffee burst that don't intend to sell, and the jump up to a P34 probably isn't worth the outlay, unless I got rid of the 374. While the Japanese build is likely to be exceptional, the Indonesians are none to shabby. Talking of cases, the standard gigbags with the 374 is very high quality for the price of bass. My BBPH came with the same bag. Good luck with the P34 👍

Good luck with the P34 👍 I’ve heard good things about the 400 series (thinking of possibly one down the line) but I wanted something of a sure thing after having last 2 brand new basses both have faults and was a really good deal - I have a superb Japanese Fender Jazz bass and in fact have never had a bad Japanese made bass - whereas I’ve had some mediocre MIAs - so after the short experience with the 734a, I’m pretty confident that the 34 will be fantastic… hopefully Edited Sunday at 17:08 by Duroc17
