I had a blue one.

nice P bass type sound

with acoustic elements obviously.

like a jack Casady, but probably more versatile

Hold it, cherish it, love it and never let it go.

Yeah, I quite like mine. 😁

I sold my one last year for €350, I think it was. Lovely bass. The price being asked is a bit steep, I reckon.

I think his price for a fretless is pretty optimistic given the cost to ship as well

Worth mentioning @briansbrewthey never did a factory fretless so it’s been messed with.

and @Machines it’s already bought and paid for sunshine.

You can have it when I inevitably sell it…

Thought as much with the fret lines, looks cool though

This ad says 1 11/16" aka 43mm

Love the inlaid logo!

43,mm must be what it was then. 20 years ago is a long time! Whatever it was, it was noticeably wider at the nut than a traditional Jazz Bass (38mm) and that's what threw me a bit at the time.

Amos playing a custom shop Yamaha with Nordstrand humbuckers? Looks like the new BB headstock.

No need to worry, Yamaha like to create custom basses for artists to keep them on the roster and stop them going elsewhere, but will never make them avaiable as production models.

Yes.......

but no.......but yes, but no, but yes......

Understated walnut top.....unmarked fingerboard....Nordstrand BigBladeMan (or whatever it is.....)

They've been tapping into my most private dirty little bassdreams again.

And it doesn't matter that they won't make them available (although the PH bass....) because I am already casting threatening looks at my 434, and thinking about hot air guns and veneers and it's all a bit of a worry....

To be fair the BB can sound a bit bass heavy and for someone like JLo the Dimarzio’s probably offer a more fitting p bass tone for his needs.

I was just commenting on the difference between my p bass and the BB. The BB is much more bassy - not better or worse just (noticeable) different.

ps I like how they disguised them in big BB shells!

Or he’s just a massive BillyS fan

He mentions him couple of times whilst taking a couple of minutes to talk through the bass they put together for him: (from 2'00")
