But there again some folk are willing to pay extra for their basses to look like beaten up cra*p ("relic'd" I think they're called), so they can pretend to be 'cool', but each to their own eh? 😛

I was certainly taken with that particular 5 string... was lovely...

Thats me on both counts, I like both..relic’d and bling 🤩🤩

Just got a battery for my scales...

weighed all the bb’s.

bb1100s Sunburst 1987 - 8.8lbs

bb1100s White 1988 - 9.2lbs

bb414 Orange 2000’s - 9.3lbs

bb300 Metallic Red 1984 - 9.8lbs

bb200 Red 1987 - 7.7lbs

the 200 is currently awaiting further instruction from Parcelforce who managed to lose the bass twice and crack the neck in the process.

That is tasty...no doubt

Has anyone tried a 434 yet, are they satin necks? Are they as rough feeling as the 234 I tried - felt unfinished rather than satin.

I have a 435 which is very similar. Satin neck. Doesn’t feel rough to me, but not *quite* as smooth as the back of my Sadowsky or Mk I TRB6 for example.

Given the price differential - I'm guessing the Sadowsky is like £2k+ (?), you'd kinda hope / expect a step up in finish.

I actually totally agree with (at least the first part of) that sentiment, Paul!

No. Stop it. Leave the cream alone. 😂😂

Save the Andy Travis (cream) One

I can see the campaign starting already...

Plus a discrimination case being brought by 'burst basses 😀
