Got this last month from fellow BC’er 6feet7 - BBG5A. Not sure of the year, but possibly ‘97-‘98. Great condition for its age, bar a few small dents in the clear coat.

My first 5er for 15 years or so. Sounds great through my GK rig. 😊

I have two currently.  Really nice basses which punch well above their price point.

I went to see Peter Hook & The Light last night.

How the back of my BBPH now looks, 😀

Now you need to kill him to limit the rarity of instruments he signed.

Is anyone in Northern England looking for a BB734a? A coffee burst one is on facebook marketplace for £300 in Penrith. Nothing to do with me but I thought I'd mention it.

I think it's one of those NT basses that come up regularly with different names built in Japan.

I've never had one in my hands but I'd like to have one and add some decent electronics.

Seen them for £50, seen them for £400.

That's the one. Go by a number of names  - That's two of 'em.

Can't see the relief on the neck on the bass but new electronics and some sandpaper could improve it significantly.

Yep, Kay. I was given one and restored it. Actually quite a nice bass with a bit of love, nice punchy pickups, brass nut and fret markers.

Wow....I like that.

You may have spent £99 for me...

Dooooo iiiiiiiiit! 😁

The rambling mess of a 'build' diary is here if you're interested.

I think that you've single-handedly added at least £200 to the price of the one on ebay.

It may come down to how many people see your photos in the next 4 days.

P-pickup (normal or reverse) fretless BBs. What’s out there?

Was a BB414f ever made or just the active 614f?

O, oracles of the BB thread lend me your wisdom. And help me find one. The blue BB400s that was on Reverb last month is haunting my dreams.

I've got a fretless BB1100s which I'm in love with.

Can be found around the £500 mark.

That does look lovely! Does it sound as good as it looks?!

Thanks. Yes it sounds great, in passive or active, huge range in active. I think it's the same preamp/eq as the fabled BB1200, could I could be wrong.

It's very, very playable.
