Preamp before or after effects

I use my BB as a stomp in place of distortion pedal...before filters etc

I should add that If I use my VT Deluxe I either use it "stand alone" or at the end of the bedal chain

I`m not an effects person, Sansamp Para Driver is it, but if I were to use effects I`d figure that my preamp pedal is doing a similar job as the amp, therefore as I`d go effects to amplifier, if using a preamp pedal it would be effects to preamp to amp. Not saying it would be right, just that`s how I`d figure it.

Whatever sounds best, probably a bit of both with any delay/reverb/modulation after the pre and everything else before it.

This. RTFM if you're putting effects in your amps loop, as it might be line level instead of instrument.

Try it both ways, before and after, and see what sounds best to you.

Could always try it in various points in the chain too, after any Dist/OD/Fuzz, before any modulation effects?

Experiment.
