Epiphone Toby 5 string, opinions sought please

Inexpensive Epi Toby 5 string in a shop in Dublin. It looks and feels fine once you get used to the slightly wider neck on a 5 string bass but I did not get to try it out into an amp. Anyone here know about these basses or suggest a 'better' alternative for around the £200/€250 mark. Plus or minus a bit. Thanks.

I'd say you're better off with a Squier. The Epi Tobias basses are pretty crap.
They shouldn't be allowed to use the name Tobias on them, it's a travesty.
