Have you chosen a picture yet and sent it to Skol? After all for this months challenge we are waiting on you 😜

I wondered who to send it to. I'll do it by midday.

Very well done! :)

Please message me with your choice of photo for this month and I'll get it sorted.

I've had a more polished version of mine waiting in the wings for the comp to end. So here it is (if anyone's interested in seeing how I progressed it). https://soundcloud.com/mornats/low-mass

Obviously I don`t want you all giving away your secrets, but I am guessing you go to some library to download some backing material, or do you all make the track from scratch? I have my recording kit now, so I thought someone might give away some tips

Mine is done using virtual instruments played on a midi keyboard. The main instrument library I used was this one: http://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/ranges/albion/albion-one/.

More modest, but free (only requires giving an email address, but non-invasive...), here's a few decent Vst instruments...

Here's another Vst with ochestral sounds ...

That'll get you started. A search for 'free Vst instruments' will bring up a bewildering array of all sorts; hours of fun, but some deceptions, too. DSK have a pretty extensive range of other genres, too; well worth a look, I reckon.

Jolly good. The early version was fine, but this is a definite improvement; all is 'tied together' coherently, with a fine build-up and crescendo. Good stuff; a thoroughly enjoyable listen. My thumb is up. :i-m_so_happy:

Picture sent to Skol303, pending approval

Nothing received as yet. I'll check the carrier pigeon coup... ;)
