TheGreek
A great chance to develop the technique of converting (broken) headed basses to headless. I'd probably buy one if somebody decides to do the work. Collection only from Chester. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Vantage-Bass-guitar-x3-/382007486653?hash=item58f16ba8bd:g:b40AAOSwTM5YzWow
Beer of the Bass
I can't figure out, under what set of circumstances would someone end up with three identical basses of a model that's not all that common, with the headstock broken in the same way on all three? There are some strange people out there...
Bassassin
No idea at all how they became decapitated, but I can say that they're not Vantages, or any other Matsumoku model. These are Kawai builds and derivative of a Japan-only Fernandes design from about 1978. They turn up with numerous different brands, and are quite common branded Lincoln in the UK. Wouldn't mind one as a headless project but no idea what I'd do with three!
Happy Jack
So his mate says to him, "these'd be worth a lot more if they were Vantage bass - shame they've got Lincoln all over the headstocks". "No worries," he says, "I'll just get rid of the headstocks".
