TheGreek Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Some interesting suggestions - keep 'em coming.. Quote
bartelby Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017
but I came across this word: Psilos which means bare/smooth/uncovered in ancient Greek.
I was going to make a suggestion, but it's nowhere near as good as that. So I won't bother. Quote
Andyjr1515 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017
SlantyBassfarce
OK - that's introduced yourself....but what about the suggestion for the bass? Quote
Andyjr1515 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 I've done a few arty-farty shots if that gives anyone inspiration: Quote
TheGreek Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 It does look good..... Looking forward to getting my hands on it Quote
ezbass Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Without the neck, it looks a bit like an eagle or vulture's head. Add to that the swift inlays on the head, I'm going to offer 'The Squawk' as my suggestion. Quote
FuNkShUi Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017
but I came across this word: Psilos which means bare/smooth/uncovered in ancient Greek. Thought it would be quite fitting for the nature of the design and finish.
You've got your winner surely? I'm not even going to try after that! Quote
Stylon Pilson Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 My suggestion for its name is: Ghost. S.P. Quote
Andyjr1515 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 Can't find a decent recording of the piezo vs magnetic, but this illustrates how it sits on the strap. Thanks once again to Chris S for starring in the video Quote
Bastav Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Stealth bass Undercover bass Benedict cumberbass Quote
Paul S Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 That is one heck of a bass, Andy. I can't begin to understand the skill levels involved - not to mention the lateral thinking - that made it possible but I unquestionably admire them. However I also think it is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen! I like Fender shaped basses.... Quote
TheGreek Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017
Stealth bass
I was thinking about this too... Quote
HowieBass Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 How about either... the Zaftig bass or the Arciform bass I'll let you Google the derivations Quote

41.2Hz Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Puts me to mind of a bass shape that's being distorted as a consequence of travelling very fast - The Javelin?? Quote
