I love the varied influences and styles in the Beastie Boys music, and my musical tastes being predominantly on the rockier side of things, I obviously love Sabotage. Whilst have a little YouTube browse this morning I came across this live version and was blown away by the power and energy of this recording, the studio version seems positively laid back in comparison. According to the comments it was Glasgow 1999.

Eh? You mean the intro and main riff running through pretty much the entire song?

The Beastie Boys are one of the best live acts I've ever seen.

I think a lot of people tend to think of them as novelty/comedy act because of Fight for Your Rights, but that song is not at all representative of what they evolved into after that first album.

Ill Communication is up there with my all time favourite albums.
