FuNkShUi
It's with the weight of impending redundancy that i'm having to sell a few things. Unfortunately, this is the only thing i own of this value, so i'm going to have to take the hit to cover my mortgage etc when i'm in unemployment. Wouldn't even consider selling it otherwise. Here it is: It was built by the very talented AndyJR who is also on this forum, and you can see the full build process here: http://basschat.co.u...hor%20singlecut You can see my review of it here (Including a video giving you a sample of the natural sound of the bass as it was recorded directly with no effects or processing. Please wear earphones): http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry3043473 It has been featured alongside other top end boutique basses in the No Treble Bass of the Week article here: http://www.notreble....singlecut-bass/ It's an unbelievable bass. Superb range of tones. Craftmanship of the absolute highest quality, as anyone who has played any of Andys' basses will attest to. The hardware and woods alone cost over £1500. Here is the spec: * Singlecut bass * Chambered body made from Alder, with a Camphor top. FuNkShUi
Forgot to say, it's in the same condition as the day i bought it. I've looked after it! Only thing ive changed is the strings, but i can include them if you prefer the sound of halfwounds as there was still plenty of life in them when i changed them

TheGreek
Oh no...one of Andy's most beautiful Basses....loads of us followed the build - like watching a child develop. There's no doubting Andy's work - somebody's going to get an absolute blinder. Hoping that your financial situation sorts itself out and you don't need to sell. FuNkShUi
Bit of interest but nothing firm yet. I will look at P/X deals, but must involve a fair bit of cash coming my way as that is the whole point i'm selling this beauty
FuNkShUi
Price dropped to £1600 for quick sale. Had a few P/X offers, but none with enough cash coming out for me

Andyjr1515
If I can just add my support for this sale, for one of my absolute favourite builds. First of all, to confirm that Kert's reason for sale is absolutely genuine. He is devastated that the impending redundancy means he has no option but to sell it. As for the bass, well this is what Kevin Johnson of the top-class international e-mag No Treble said of it in his opening statement to the Bass of the Week feature: "Our friend Christopher Kerton sent in pics of his bass for us to check out, and it almost knocked me out. The custom singlecut bass by AJR Guitars is a beauty to begin with, but digging into the details got me even more excited." The full article is here: http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2016/06/20/bass-of-the-week-ajr-guitars-singlecut-bass/ It's lightweight, it's simply lovely to play, it sounds great and it looks utterly stunning. It looks even better in real life than in the photos... The spec and many elements of the design is Kert's. There's a real difference that shines through with a bass that has been spec'd by an excellent bass player. I'm very proud to have this bass as the opening pic on my website. Trust me, you will be very proud to own this wonderful bass. Andy J R Edited April 9, 2017 by Andyjr1515
Thunderbird
Great bass and I think Andy's work is top notch I think if this had one of the "names" on the headstock it would be long gone
FuNkShUi
Thanks both. I think it is definitely one of those basses you need to see, and hold, and play to appreciate how good it is. Andy's work is incredible, which is why i asked him to build it in the first place.
Marc S
Hi FuNkShUi, Just noticed, this bass is still marked as "On Hold" in the title... Thought I'd better point that out, in case you had forgotten to take it back "off hold".... Might mislead a potential buyer Cheers
