This brilliant piece of awesomeness is a passive copy and wow I love it. There are 2 volumes and one tone and it's very controllable although to me, there isn't a lot of difference between the two sounds but then I'm a bit mutton.
Plenty of power from the single MM style pickup and it weighs a reasonable 9 lbs.

Fit and finish is as good as any other bass in the £500 - 600 range save for the fret edges which are not all perfect, that said, it took 10 minutes to sort.

All in all superb value for £103 plus a tenner delivery...

That looks great but I am not surprised by the comments. Last year I needed a fretless for a gig and knew it wouldn't get a lot of use so I bought the fretless jazz they make. It is incredibly good and the body wood has an amazing grain and one of the best sunburst spray jobs I have ever seen. I make every guitarist/bass playing friend of mine check it out and their jaws it the floor when I tell them it was £120 delivered from Germany.

Enjoy the bass, I enjoy mine that much more because I know how little it costs and it just makes me smile.

I can only compare it to a precision and it holds up well to them. punchy and full. They do one with 2 pickups as well and it has the switch for £160 odd quid, bet it's awesome.

just had a listen to both the one you have bought and the double pickup version, both sound great, the single does remind me of a ray but not quite as full (might just be the way they eq'd on thomann site) but the double humbucker sounds great, not that i need another bass

Regrettably the twin pup version doesn't have the matched headstock, but it's certainly interesting. Thanks for posting.... I think. This could cost me in the wallet!

I know Richard, someone mentioned a fretless for 120 shimblats, going to look at it now..... This'll probably end badly
