Jakester
Does anyone know where I might be able to get a single nut of the type that screws down the washer on the strap part of a straplock? For some reason I have two strap fittings, two washers, but only one nut (ahem). I've tried pot/jack nuts but they're too small. I'd really rather not buy a whole new set of straplocks if I didn't have to...
BigRedX
Schaller are normally very good with spare parts, so long as it's a genuine Schaller Straplock and not a knock-off. Send them an email.
RhysP
I've got a couple of spares - if you want them PM me your address & I'll stick them in the post for you.
Gottastopbuyinggear
This place has them - maybe not very cost effective, though: http://www.cdguitars.co.uk/schaller-strap-lock-spare-nut--washer-chrome--14230200-1231-p.asp

pete.young
Put the strap on the button, then put the straplock onto the button. You don't need to fix the straplocks onto the strap.
Jakester
Yep, tried that, but it's a thick leather one so doesn't work.
