derreybass
Meant to put this on here ages ago. It was built in 2013, and is the result of finding a piece of mahogany that I put in the shed some 30 years ago. A friend of mine also gave me a flamed sycamore plank he didn't need and someone else had some birdseye maple. Finally I also had some ebony that I'd bought a few years back. Hadn't made anything like this since the late 1960s.[attachment=241921:2013-06-22 08.18.48.jpg][attachment=241924:2013-06-24 12.10.35.jpg][attachment=241927:2014-02-25 11.04.09.jpg][attachment=241928:2014-02-25 11.06.50.jpg][attachment=241929:2014-02-25 11.09.19.jpg] The hardware is Fender N3 pickups a Badass 2 Bridge and reverse tunersplus a few other bits and pieces. Phil Starr
I've had the chance to play with this a couple of times, as did a few people at the South West Bash. Never played a fretless before so I'm not the best judge but it feels just right in your hands, the neck is a lovely thing and the photo's really don't do it justice.
