pitchard
So I'm currently having a clear out, selling off stuff to purchase new stuff and found my old Boss SYB3 bass synthesizer. Made some noises and thought I'd found a few sounds that sounded fairly alright in the mix! https://youtu.be/FIxQKP8NKO4 So I'm curious; what effects have people forgotten about and rediscovered after years of not playing? Not that I'm doing my bank account any good, but I'm interested in knowing what other gems are out there!

indiegrungesound
I stopped using my Boss ME-50B in early 2009 after it effectively got me fired from a band. I used it again for an audition in May/June 2015 & it got me hired! I also use it in my current band. It's a belting piece of kit!
NukeBass
Just dug out a couple of old pedals I used years ago - an Aria DD-x10 digital delay and a Washburn SCX:7 stereo chorus - both very respectable sounding. I'm glad I hung onto them! Edited April 11, 2017 by NukeBass
Iacopo San
Boss Turbo Distortion, OMG the noise you can make with that thing.
Absolutely. I got one too, noisy af and cuts lots of lows, but you get an incredibly angry tone. Try pair it with a EH BassBalls if you have one, also with distortion activated, you get the most insane tone. It sustains notes for minutes
