So I'm getting involved with forming a Stranglers tribute band getting lots of suggestions for a name & Jet Black himself suggests a name ...do you use it ? I'll tell you what it is later .

kind of depends on whether it's better than the others you can think of - if you have to explain to people why it's not a terrible name because Jet suggested it, well, most people aren't going to ask, they're going to think you've got a terrible name. Plus, does he genuinely think it's a great name or was he drunk/feeling mischievous at the time?

(though given your location you're begging to be called The Gosport Stranglers, surely)

His first suggestion was "Tank" He said there is nothing wishy washy about that name .......But there is a band with that name I think .
His second was "The Wranglers" & "No More Zeroes"

My friend is in a string quartet doing Stranglers and other covers. They call themselves the Stringlers.

I think I would go with No More Zeroes. It's not a bad name and I do reckon there's some mileage in the endorsement by Jet Black.
