steve-bbb
im in process of renovating and restoring an old acoustic six string should i release the truss rod tension whilst it is sitting for a prolonged period with no strings? ta
Twincam
I think the jury is out on that one. Personally I would have just a little tension on it and have the neck straight or some relief. Bit its probably more important how you store the instrument.
Saved
I would set the truss rod in "dead position".Staight in the midle. No bow no underbow
gary mac
I would set the truss rod in "dead position".Staight in the midle. No bow no underbow
I tend to do the same if leaving an instrument without strings for any length of time.
