What didn't you like about the 55-01? Pickups/Pre presumably if you'd consider a 55-02?
Would be nothing stopping you dropping humbucker and single-coil soapbars into a 55-01 to give you a 55-02 sound. I guess depends if you can find a nice one used, usually £450-550, leaves monies for your choice of pickup/pre upgrade

They are in stock on Japanese sites now, so not long. Give the Yamaha shop in London a ring perhaps?
