Jabba_the_gut Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 A really interesting build - something completely different! Be interested to see the videos. Quote
Pea Turgh Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 So that’s slightly longer than an actual double bass?! Hats off to you, Sir! Quote
SpondonBassed Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Are you a giant Saved? That looks (almost) manageable in your hands. I'm not so sure my stature would cope as well. Those light gauge strings look like they aren't going to be hard on the fretting fingers. Are you staying with those gauges? Quote
Andyjr1515 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 In that I struggle to reach the 1st fret on a 34" bass.... But that looks superb. What a refreshingly innovative build. Like @Jabba_the_gut says, can't wait to see video of it! Quote
Saved Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 These gauges are exactly what BEADG tuning needs.I dont think i am gonna go for lower tuning. The trick for longer scales,is to add the length on the bridge side, not on the headstock 😉😉 1 Quote

Norris Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 You've done a fabulous job. That's come together beautifully. I'm sure a lot of us have been scratching our heads wondering what you were doing throughout the build, but in your hands it looks a beautifully crafted bass. Well done! 1 Quote
Saved Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 The truth is,there are guys eith better building skills than me and they would have better job.The bass has a few misstakes because its my first torzal build. BUT its very easy to play (i can play "killing in the name" very easy, slap and pop it) So,i thought it will be hanged on the wall and i was thinking to build a new 5string to be my main bass, but tgere is no need to do this. A 34" scale is eadier to play, but navarone is my main bass for now (you know..till the next build be done..) 1 Quote

baldwinbass Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Yes, I liked the samples - they prove the musicality and practicality of your bass - plus the visuals are a handy summary of the build. Well done! Quote
