Danuman
Hi all, Lately I've been trying to really challenge my feel and timing sensibilities. My current favourite gig is with a blues band, and for me these things are where it's at. The drummer and I already run a pretty tight ship as it is, but the intricacies of perfecting a romping blues set are such an immense source of pleasure, I feel like pushing the envelope a bit. So, any suggestions for some inspiring records? You know, the kind that makes everybody want to get another round in.

Danuman
Came across this old thread by accident... Always happy to see Rocco’s stuff get a mention, so I thought a thank you was in order - more than a year overdue! 😊 I found this the other day, which I thought zips along rather nicely. Some tasteful and complementary playing over a lively rhythm section. I love hearing a proper big band play the blues. Luxurious!
