Talk Talk have indeed done some amazing work, Spirit of Eden and The Colour of Spring are both perennial favourites of mine.

(I sold a TR-808 to Mark Hollis back in the eighties by the way).

Dismissed them out of hand at the Genesis 'Six of the Best' reunion in '82. Having read Phil Brown's memoirs last year, I was intrigued enough to listen again. Superb.

Great band. Their live show at Montreux Jazz Festival is still one of my favourite live performances. it was only watching that gig that I realised John Turnbull from The Blockheads was part of the band.

Ye Gods, that takes me back, if I remember right we were camped in the toilets down the front while they were on, demanding swigs of beer from anyone who wanted to come in for a leak! Either their set was very short or they got booed off early....its all a bit hazy *sigh*

I did follow up after the gig though and found the music excellent.
