ambient
I'm selling a five string bass that Nick showed an interest in. I was due to travel London, and said that as long as he was definitely interested then I would take it along with me. I spent the day carrying it about, and then travelled to Camden to meet him, (this actually being in the complete opposite direction to the station I was catching my train from). After waiting for an hour while he played the instrument, he then announced that he was unsure about it. The reasons: it was a 33" scale instrument, and it had dual-coil pickups. Both of these were clearly stated in my advert, and we'd talked about these 'issues' beforehand. I fully understand that you want to be sure that an instrument is right for you before buying it, but if you know that it's a 33" scale bass, and that it has dual coils, then why ask someone to go out of their way so you can try it? I suspect he just wanted to try the bass, and in reality had little intention in actually buying it. It's also more than just a little bit annoying that there has been no further contact from him, despite him promising that he would think about it and get in touch. I would advise not going out of your way if you're selling something, let him come to you. Edited January 15, 2020 by ambient
