Who do you recommend to courier a bass to Europe?

I've had a bit of interest from Europe regarding my bass that i'm selling.
I've been hesitant as i don't want it to end up in pieces.
But i'd be happy to send it if i could find a good company.
So has anyone got any recommendations for couriers they have used?

I used DPD to Germany recently. No problems. 1 hr pickup and delivery windows..

Hate having a whole day as a pick up and delivery window too.

I've used DPD a few times. They have forgotten to pick up for 3 days on a couple of occasions, but the basses arrived intact.

Read the small print of whoever you go with, often musical instruments aren't covered in the insurance, though they'll still take your money.

Is there any other way, other than through the courier, you would recommend to insure the bass?

And sometimes, where they do cover instruments, they need to be in a hard case.

It'll definitely be sent in a hard case as its a through neck, so haven't got the option of removing the neck

Just requested a quote from DPD..... By air it was £145, by road £35.
How is there such a difference? Especially when they're scheduled to arrive the same day
