This is a beautiful example of a hard to find bass. It's used but in great condition with only a couple of marks on the headstock, and a strange small darkened stain under the lacquer on the back which according to fender was more than likely original and a stain in the wood. It has been professionally set up and plays extremely well. Neck is true. Electrics are in A1 condition with no noisy pots etc. It comes with the original case, documentation and truss rod adjustment tool. Just checked the authenticity with fender and all fine. I tried my best to learn fretless on the first one for a couple of years before giving up. All three were cracking basses but as a Stingray/G&L player I really struggled to play them and the resulting lack of confidence mean't that I never did play any live. I am much more settled with a more familiar unlined Stingray. Note: All three were excellent basses. I rate those mid 90's P basses very highly, they are a lovely thing to own. I agree with your views on p bass s from this period ... the quality is very good ..I play a 94 japanese 57 reissue p bass and it's just the best ..I know it's a different beast but worth a mention Cheers ...GLWTS. ..my budget is not quite stretching to cover the cost and I have another iron in the fire .. Reflecting the condition, original case and the fretboard being excellent as it's probably worn flats most of it's life.
