Edit: Or maybe not, the routing for the neck pickup looks a bit big. Oh well, I do like the cement effect paint.

The seller does say it comes with a pickguard, and with that routing I would definitely be fitting it.

Plasti-cote smatter paint, I have used it on fireplace surrounds, but wouldn't think it too robust on a bass without about 5 coats of lacquer over it.
I think it is about £8.99 for a large spray can in B&Q the famous luthier suppliers....

Yup that's a very AXL head - I think Johnson and AXL are the same thing or at least one is licences to the other.
I think it looks good (for an £80'er) but it doesn't make sense why if he/she was going to put on a solid finish that they didn't just pack out that sloppy pup cavity.
