I've mentioned before in other threads - but it bears repeating - that I once (unintentionally) saw a Coldplay tribute band. The best reaction they got, was the last song which was 'I believe in a thing cold love' by The Darkness.

true story.

Yellow and Trouble are probably the mainstream ones that everybody tends to remember.

Doesn't even ring a bell for me. I'll need to dig the album out

My mum likes The Carpenters, Joan Armatrading and Helen Reddy...she’s not into nickelback.

She has seen Neil Diamond live twice though. He’s pretty Metal.

My mum likes Neil Diamond too!

And Leonard Cohen

Are we honestly whining about Coldplay and Nickelback on the Internet still? What is this? 2005? You guys are miles off the pace.

No, you hard of hearing fool, we're doing naked spaghetti macramé specifically to avoid being on the pace.

Speaking for myself, I've never been on the pace. I'm still whining about Boston and Foreigner 😊

Ahhh, after the aberration that was episode 4 which I found quite enjoyable, largely thanks to Sigrid, normal, back-to-b0llox service has been resumed in episode 5; more by rote indie, krap Brit rap, dull but worthy stuff from Africa, the frightfest that is Marc Almond.... yet again. Holland becoming even more irritating than i thought ever possible.

Only caught the 1st two acts last night Jungle and Robyn i think they were and i thought they were pretty good. I'll watch the rest of the show on catch up today at some point but that was the best start to a show in a long time for me anyways.

Yes even I turned it off this week!! Interesting juxtaposition, Marc Almond v Jools on boogie woogie piano - had it been the 70s I would have suspected I was on an acid flashback 😯 (Although I would confess to being a fan of boogie woogie piano 😏 )
